I suppose it needs a full romset and not just a selection in order to convert one version into the other. However, clrmame complains about some files missing, and, when rebuilding, some rom files are almost empty. I searched for a v0.2.97.43 DAT file and I tried to rebuilt the already filtered v0.2.96.71 romset into the lr-fbalpha version. That emulator uses romset v0.2.97.43 according to the wiki. Now I'd like to change from PiFBA to lr-fbalpha, as it is much easier to configure and compatible with the general libretro setup, and it's the recommended fba emulator for the rpi3. Until now, I was using PiFBA (which uses the romset FB Alpha 0.2.96.71) and I rebuilt the romset using the DAT provided in the retropie wiki that removes clones, non-working, mahjong, quiz, adult, casino, and rhythm. I feel like I need a master's degree in order to understand clrmamepro.
